So, which are the most common injuries that occur on sand\u2014and how can they be prevented?<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\u03a0\u03b1\u03c7\u03c5\u03c3\u03b1\u03c1\u03ba\u03af\u03b1 1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17084\" src=\"https:\/\/orthorehab.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/ammoinjuries1.jpg\" width=\"100%\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Summer Beach Sports<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Many beachgoers enjoy participating in sports such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Walking or jogging on the sand<\/li>\n<li>Beach running<\/li>\n<li>Paddle or racket games<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">Beach Volley<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">Beach soccer<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regardless of the chosen activity, it\u2019s important to remember that sand is an unstable and uneven surface. Some areas are soft, while others are compact and firm, making it difficult for the foot to adapt properly to the constantly changing ground conditions. As the feet sink into the sand rather than springing off it (as they would on solid ground), the muscles are required to work much harder to lift and stabilize the body, increasing the risk of overuse or acute injuries.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\u03a0\u03b1\u03c7\u03c5\u03c3\u03b1\u03c1\u03ba\u03af\u03b1 (scale and weights of a traditional medical beam scale)\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17085\" src=\"https:\/\/orthorehab.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/ammoinjuries2.jpg\" width=\"100%\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Common Injuries<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Individuals engaging in beach sports and activities are more prone to certain types of injuries, the most frequent of which include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overuse injuries affecting <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/podi.gr\/athlitikes-kakwseis-oi-pio-synithismenes-sta-anw-akra\/\">both upper and lower limbs<\/a><\/u><\/span>.
